Maori Animation

Hey bloggers, I hope you're having a good day. If you didn't know this week it's New Zealand Maori Week so we have been doing stuff based on Maori, we had to create an animation with a buddy and had to use Kupu's in it.

Lockdown Poster!!

Hello, as you would you know New Zealand has gone into Level 4 lockdown. Yesterday we had to create a poster based on propaganda, I kept mine nice and simple and did a wanted poster. What are you doing in lockdown? Let's hope today we get out of level 4 and go down.

Hello! Over the past term, we have been doing an Aladdin production, we have a slide show of tasks to complete while others are practising their dances or doing what they need to do. I have created Princess Jasmine on Pixel Art, I got my colours of a google image by simply searching in -pixel art jasmine- it was quite easy to do. Who is your favourite character in Aladdin and why?!

Kiora! Happy Pink Day! Every Wednesday we do something called S.T.E.A.M, S-Science T-Technology E-Engineering A-Arts M-Math. This week we had to use materials for an egg and we would drop it from somewhere and see if it would crack or not. unfortunately, our one did crack, but we can always try next time!

Aloha Bloggers, during maths we have been looking at problem-solving. In buddies we had to pick a problem to either do on Minecraft or we could make an animation, me and my partner chose Minecraft. All we had to do was place down the tables and put people around them but basically, you had to swap the people around so they could each sit in different seats it's a bit hard to explain. Have you ever used Minecraft education edition before?

Over the past couple of Fridays, we have been working on our weather scratch animation.

We had to use the words in Maori and ask our people on the animation how the weather was, we used our own voice to say the words for example "Kei Te Pehea" which means hows the weather? you could reply with "Kei Te Paki" It's fine. Have you ever used Scratch before?

Hey everyone, during maths time we have been learning about statistics. We had to create a business and make a logo and an advertisement. I'm selling cupcakes because they are easy to make, ingredients are good and most important they taste so good. I always make them from scratch and to top it off I add buttercream icing and sprinkles, talking about them makes me so hungry. Do you like baking if so what do you like to bake?

Hello bloggers! during class in toroa, we had to make a canva all about us. First, we started off with our names and I added a picture that kind of looks likes me. On the next page, I showed you all of my animals 1 dog and 3 cats ( i hope you like the picture of the dog!) On the last page, I told you all of the things that I like baking, Animals and love to hang out with my friends! Kiora! Each year in toroa we start off with a self-portrait about ourselves, this year we did a lego man describing ourself based on our faces/hair/outfits. The reason I chose to do that type of face is that I'm super crazy I like to have fun and I just feel like poking the tongue out really describes me! Have you ever done a self-portrait before?

Hello Bloggers! Last week my hub went to wainui camp! we did heaps of fun activities, my favourites were coasteering and kayaking. In my slide i wrote about what we did at kayaking and coasteering, kayaking we were in 2 different groups, group 1 was for the people who were going in buddys and group 2 was for the people who wanted to go by themselfs i was in group 1 cause i had a buddy.

For coasteering we were in groups again group 1 and group 2. Have you ever jumped of rocks into the ocean? Have you ever been kayaking before?

My Amazon Rainforest Civilisation

 

Kia ora, During inquiry time we have been building civilisations we rotated around our teachers learning about different places each student got to pick what civilisation they wanted to start creating. I chose the amazon rainforest, We went on onto Minecraft Education-edition and started to build our houses of the wood we can find. We got natural resources we could find in our civilisations

Kiora, during our inquiry we have been doing rotations on what we could present our work on, this time we used adobe spark. For this, we made up jokes and put different characters for the people who answered the jokes (my joke is really bad) what's your favourite joke?

Lili Reinhart

Kiora, during literacy we have been writing a report on famous people I was originally going to do it on Cole Sprouse but I already know too much about him 😂 so I did it on Lili Reinhart. I still haven't finished it yet but I will be working on it in literacy times, the reason why I chose Lili Reinhart was because she plays in show that goes by the name "Riverdale"
